Those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city should head just 6 miles south-east of Plymouth, to the beautiful remote South Hams village of Noss Mayo. Nestled between wonderful Wembury and the unspoilt sandy shores of Mothecombe, this modest south-west Devon village is inhabited by just over 500 people. Lucky enough to have bought a handful of windows, doors and extension installations here, it’s encouraging that more owners are embracing the benefits that our aluminium doors and windows offer the traditional 17th, 18th and 19th Century cottages, barns and holiday homes Noss Mayo is renowned for.

Our expert team know the area well and can help transform your Noss Mayo home with high-quality double glazing, front doors, bifold doors & sliding patio doors.

New windows & doors for Noss Mayo homeowners

Tucked away on the southern bank of the picturesque Yealm estuary, it’s of no surprise to us that this gorgeous little sailing village (along with neighbouring village Newton Ferrers) has been included in the top 20 prettiest towns and villages on offer in Devon. A favourite amongst couples in search of a tranquil southern retreat, walking, boating and beach life rank highly on Noss Mayo’s’ ‘to-do list.

Noss Mayo has an age-old history dating as far back as 1287 when King Edward I gave Mathew Fitzjohn the manor of ‘Stok’ and the village became known as Noss Mayo; ‘Mathew’s Nose.’ The village was initially used for fishing as a sideline for farmers, using charming Cellar Beach as a store for fishing equipment and fish hauls. Considerable changes came to Noss Mayo in the form of Membland estate owner Edward Baring; the 1st Lord Revelstoke. Over the course of just 18 years, many farm buildings and new homes were built by Baring in a distinctive, romantic 1880’s style that can still be seen around Noss Mayo to this day.
